Dave Siemantel started in the machining industry 47 years ago. His first introduction was with an aircraft machining facility. He gained experience in different aspects of machining coupled with his education in Mechanical Engineering. In the 1970’s he joined a larger more diverse company. During his 21 years there, he pioneered CNC machining, implementation and programming. He has published articles in “Modern Machine Shop” and “American Machinist” on The Cost Advantages of CNC Machining. Matt Siemantel was introduced to the machining industry over 20 years ago. He has experienced many diverse and complex fields within the industry. Throughout, he has gained knowledge by Continuing Education Programs. He has mastered CNC machining at a high level. Along with his strong management skills, he has developed work cell concepts and advanced tooling. Alan Jones started his CNC machines career in 1987. He attended Vincennes in 1990-92 where he majored in machines tool technologies. In 1994 he attended Ball State University where he majored in business administration. He then spent 12 years as the General Manager of a CNC production machine shop before leaving to join Matt at Shirley Machine and Engineering as General Manager. Shirley Machine & Engineering, Inc. was purchased in 1993 and incorporated in 1994. Since that time, they have grown and prospered by adhering to the sound principles of high precision machining and cell concepts. Dave and Matt have trained a team at Shirley Machine & Engineering Inc. that is our most important asset. These principles provide our customers with a competitive edge plus excellent service. Matt and Alan set high standards of quality and workmanship. They form long lasting relationships with their customers. Therefore, the customers are their best references. |
